WFMW Backwards Day - lemonade cake
Wednesday, November 7th, 2007Once upon a time……. I had this wonderful recipe for a delicious lemon cake called Lemonade on a Fork. You made a lemon flavored cake and then while it was still warm, poured a glaze over the top and as it cooled it turned into a kind of crunchy crust. Ahhh, it was so tasty. Unfortunately, I did not transfer the recipe into my offical card box. I was somehow always able to find the ripped-out page from the magazine no matter where it ended up. Until now. Apparently, it did not make the move overseas.
I have tried a couple of times to recreate it from my memory and ‘ingenuity’, (no laughing), but it has never come out the same.
So I am wondering, do you have a delicious lemon cake recipe, that does not come from a box mix? Not to be a food snob, but cake mixes are sinfully expensive here in Chiang Mai.
Lemon is one of my favorite dessert flavors. Many things are adverstised as lemon here, but they really mean lime. I like lime, but it is not the same as lemon!
Looking forward to your tasty ideas!
